Howard Center’s Chittenden Clinic Receives NCQA Certificate of Recognition

The Chittenden Clinic Program at the Howard Center is very pleased to announce that it has received a Certificate of Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Process as a Patient-Centered Specialty Care Practice (PCSP). NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care. It should be noted that in 2015, we were the very first program in the country to take the exam and be recognized.

Recognition from the PPCP demonstrates commitment to patient-centered care and clinical quality through streamlined referral processes and coordination of care with referring clinicians, timely patient- and patient-centered care management. caregiver and continuous improvement of clinical quality. The Chittenden Clinic provides medication treatment for people with opioid use disorder and other co-occurring mental health, medical and social conditions. The Chittenden Clinic has been in operation since 2002. Nearly 1,300 clients were served at the Chittenden Clinic in FY21.

“NCQA’s recognition of Patient-Centered Medical Homes raises the bar in defining high-quality care by emphasizing access, health information technology, and patient-focused coordinated care. patients,” said NCQA President Margaret E.
