Low-cost pet vaccination clinic set up in Long Neck on February 13

Just Us Cat and Kitten Rescue and Catnippers will be hosting a low-cost pet vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, February 13 at the Pot-Nets Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Long Neck.

Services for dogs and cats include rabies shots, $20; tempera strokes, $15; microchip, $25; and heartworm test, $25.

After the animal visits to the veterinarian, their family members are invited to do some shopping. Flea and tick medication will be available as well as heartworm medication. Pet Shop offerings include t-shirts, fleece beds, quilted bags and totes, and Just Us note cards. All proceeds will go to support these organizations that help cats from the community.

Just Us volunteers trap and foster cats and kittens, feed colonies and facilitate adoptions; they respond to all kinds of calls to help cats and kittens in need. They also work with other rescue groups like Catnippers and the Brandywine Valley SPCA. Catnippers specializes in providing trapping/neutering/returning services within Pot-Nets communities. Both groups are dependent on revenue from clinics and donations.

No appointment is necessary. Masks must be worn in the community center. Parking is available. For more information, call or text Judy Kane at 302-542-5507. The event is cash only.
