Med City Dental Clinic Plans to Build in Southwest Rochester – Post Bulletin

ROCHESTER – A new mall with teeth is in the works for southwest Rochester.

Construction plans for a two-story, 7,100 square foot complex on North Frontage Road of Salem Road Southwest have been filed by 12th Street Dental this week. It is planned to be built just northeast of Edina RealtyRochester office building at 1301 Salem Road SW

The dental clinic, which already has a location in Rochester at 1008 12th St. SE, acquired the land following its approval for an office building project called northern hickory. The dental clinic project is larger than North Hickory’s one-story plan, but has a comparable footprint.

North Hickory was originally proposed by DK Fox Hill LLCa Rochester development corporation run by John Klopp. DK Fox built the Edina Realty building and a similar building West Edina building at 1309 N. Frontage Road Salem SW.

Edina West was sold for $1.8 million in 2019 to two Rochester companies, Salem SW LLC and R&T Rochester Investments LLC. It now houses two tenants, Active PT and sports and Respira: respiratory tract, snoring and ATM.

If the 12th Street Dental Clinic is built as proposed, it will be across Salem Road from Aspen Dental and not far from dental apple tree.
