-Belle Vue Clinic introduced advanced non-contact artificial intelligence (AI)-based vital signs monitoring technology, adopting Dozee’s remote monitoring system, to improve patient safety by converting its non- USI in USI Step-down. This indigenous device sends timely alerts about a patient’s condition to healthcare workers, helping to avoid critical emergencies. This non-contact remote patient monitoring (RPM) and early warning system (EWS) will provide quality patient care. It is the first hospital to introduce Dozee’s NcBP (world’s first non-contact blood pressure) technology to this region, ensuring greater ease of use and patient compliance.
Dozee monitored approximately 300 patients for nearly two months at Belle Vue Clinic and generated nearly 980 critical alerts that helped prioritize doctors’ and nurses’ time, while simultaneously ensuring better patient safety.
Dozee is India’s first AI-powered non-contact remote patient monitoring (RPM) and early warning system (EWS) for continuous and automated patient monitoring in non-critical care wards, such as wards. intensive care units, high dependency units (HDU), VIP rooms, COVID and general rooms. Backed by the Indian government, the Dozee device tracks vital parameters, such as heart and respiratory rates, blood pressure, oxygen saturation levels and patient temperature with 98.4% clinical-grade accuracy. It also tracks the patient’s sleep quality while reporting sleep apnea indicators. Dozee’s remote monitoring system is extremely efficient. An independent study conducted by Sattva Consulting in public hospitals showed that around 100 Dozee connected beds can save around 144 lives with timely alerts and save around 80% of nursing time.
Mr. Pradip Tondon, CEO of Belle Vue Clinic, said: “The adoption of Dozee’s technology is one of the steps we are taking to enter the digital age, equipped with the right tools and resources to improve again our health care delivery. With this technology, we also hope to reduce the workload of our healthcare workers who can monitor a patient’s vital signs remotely and prioritize their time based on specific patient needs.
Mr. Gaurav Parchani, CTO and co-founder of Dozee, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to bring Dozee to Belle Vue Clinic. I believe Dozee will help doctors and nurses provide optimal care, while simultaneously reducing the risk of burnout. Our goal is to enable the delivery of quality care and preserve the quality of life of patients and healthcare workers through Dozee’s technology solutions.
The Dozee system is ISO 13485, ISO 27001, IEC 60601-1-2, RoHS certified and CDSCO registered. And its USFDA 510K is in progress. Dozee also received ISO 13485:2016 certification in December 2021, from Intertek for its Quality Management System (QMS). This certification is part of the quality journey with ISO/IEC 27001:2013, Information security management.
IIT graduates Mr. Mudit Dandwate and Mr. Parchani founded Dozee in October 2015 and are supported by the Government of India through BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council). Dozee has also applied for several patents related to the identification and prediction of respiratory, cardiac and neurological patterns as well as the detailed examination of vital signs to provide an early indication of health problems.
