Billings PT in Motion Clinic expands for fourth time in 5 years | Achievements

BILLINGS – Physiotherapy in Motion has done it again. Under local third-generation Montanan ownership Laura Winkler, PT, DPT, the company has completed its fourth expansion in the past five years.

This most recent addition added 2,000 square feet to her West End clinic, which was the company’s only location when Laura acquired ownership of it in 2013. At that time, it was just 2,000 square feet. squares with two full-time employees. Today, 11 vendors and 20 total staff members call Physical Therapy in Motion and serve the greater Billings community from two clinics that represent a total footprint of over 10,000 square feet.

Laura attributes the company’s success to a culture of camaraderie and clinical excellence that has grown through having the right people in every position on the team. “Everyone here is really passionate about physiotherapy and delivering patient-centered care – and I mean everyone. Not just our therapists, but also our receptionists, technicians and other administrative professionals in our company.

“Our desire to provide the highest quality care to our patients brings us together every day, and we are always evaluating what we can do as a team to provide everyone with the best experience.”

It’s a pursuit that can only grow, and proof of that is that Physical Therapy in Motion’s recent expansion has officially quintupled the space Laura started with.

And the PT in Motion team is just getting started. At 34, Laura is about to celebrate 10 years as a business owner. By the end of the year, the PT in Motion group will have served more than 10,000 patients. To put that cumulative number into perspective, the company saw about 200 patients a year in the early 2010s. Last year, 1,800 people received the care they needed through Physical Therapy in Motion.

Not only has its growth had a positive impact on increasing local access – as most healthcare providers are fully booked for weeks or even months – but the company’s growth has also been recognized at National level. Physical Therapy in Motion has appeared three consecutive years since 2019 on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list, a prestigious ranking of companies across all industries. The list provides an overview of the most successful companies in America’s independent small business sector, and being recognized is an important step in entrepreneurial growth and success.

But prized accolades were never the goal. They are just the by-product of our efforts to provide the best physiotherapy services in the Billings community.

“The most rewarding part of this whole journey is that my team has really built its reputation helping patients with complex care plans – those who have sought multiple medical interventions without success,” says Laura. “That’s where we excel. We provide answers and solutions to pain that is complex and may have been around for years.

Now that Laura has built the space to care for the community, her next goal is to continue to grow her staff. Asked about the most rewarding part of the property after 10 years, Laura brings the conversation back to her team: “I’m so grateful to all my staff and couldn’t have done anything without them. »
