Essentia Health clinic planned in Lisbon, ND; inauguration canceled by winter storm forecast for the region – InForum

LISBON, ND – Essentia Health is preparing to begin construction of a new 6,000 square foot clinic in Lisbon.

The current clinic at 819 Main Street will remain open during construction, Essentia said in a news release Friday, November 4.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the clinic has been canceled due to a winter storm forecast for the area later this week, an Essentia spokesperson said Tuesday, November 8.

The state-of-the-art clinic will be three times larger than the existing building and will offer more services, providers and new technologies. It will include 12 exam rooms equipped for telehealth services, two procedure rooms, and expanded laboratory and radiology services.

“At Essentia Health, we are committed to delivering high quality, affordable healthcare near you,” said Al Hurley, COO of Essentia’s Western Market. “We are proud to make this investment and strengthen our ties with Lisbon and its surroundings.”

The $3.3 million project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023.

The Essentia Health-Lisbon clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The Essentia Health system includes 14 hospitals, 77 clinics, six long-term care facilities, three assisted living facilities, three independent residences, six ambulance services and a research institute.

Essentia has approximately 15,000 employees, including 2,200 physicians and advanced practitioners, serving patients in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
