Ludhiana, November 1

In an effort to provide quality health services to people living in rural areas, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) has improved the services at its rural health center in Pohir village.

While the number of people going to the OPD at the center was quite large, few women came for treatment and consultation.

It was desired to reach the women living in the villages around the Pohir rural health center at their doorstep with good health services and it was decided to set up a mobile health clinic.

Now, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited has consented to contribute Rs 35 lakh as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for setting up this mobile clinic for rural areas , especially to provide health services to women in the villages.

A Memorandum of Understanding on this was signed between Dayanand Medical College and Hospital and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited on October 30 at NTPC offices in Noida.

This initiative by Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and NTPC will benefit women in rural areas who rarely visit medical facilities for their routine health issues.
