The Foundation offers a free advice clinic for voluntary organizations in Ashford

The Kent Community Foundation runs a free counseling clinic for voluntary organizations and community groups based in Ashford.

The Kent Community Foundation has funded organizations across Kent and Medway for over twenty years. Last year they gave a total of £4million in funding to charities and community groups across the thirteen districts, of which over £370,000 went to organizations in the Ashford district.

On July 12, the Grants Team will be offering Ashford-based charities and community groups 1-1 appointments at an advice clinic to discuss the funding available to them.

Charities and community groups are invited to schedule fifteen minute appointments with a member of the Kent Community Foundation grants team to discuss funding opportunities for the Frank Brake Community Fund and the Ashford Recreation Trust Fund.

The counseling clinic will be held at the Ashford Volunteer Centre, Berwick House, 8 Elwick Road, Ashford, TN23 1PF on Tuesday July 12 and limited appointments are available between 11am and 3pm.

Natalie Smith, Director of Grants and Impact at the Kent Community Foundation, said: “The Ashford counseling clinic will give the grants team the opportunity to discuss available funding. for voluntary organizations and community groups in Ashford of two of our funds and tips for making a good application.

“The Frank Brake Community Fund offers grants of up to £5,000 for projects focusing on community activities, community halls and centres, dementia and other neurological conditions, sports and children, youth and families, employability, volunteer-led projects, preventive services .

“The Ashford Leisure Trust Fund provides grants of up to £10,000 to sports clubs, community groups that provide physical activity or charities focusing on physical health.

“We expect the counseling clinic to be very popular and appointments are limited, so please book as soon as possible.”
