UC San Diego Health opened a clinic for patients with gastrointestinal and digestive disorders – a facility located in the Westfield UTC shopping center and billed as the first clinic of its kind in the county, it was announced on Monday.
The clinic will provide specialist care for patients suffering from a variety of problems, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines and colon. A team of physicians, surgeons, endoscopists, oncologists, radiologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists and dietitians will care for patients with conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, hernias, obesity and cancer.

The 11,000 square foot clinic has 18 patient exam rooms.
