Vicky Kaushal Launches Aesthetic Clinic for Men at Nanavati Max Hospital

Renowned Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal inaugurated the campaign and the men’s aesthetic clinic attached to a quaternary care medical facility, the hospital said in a statement.

Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday launched a ‘men’s aesthetic clinic’ and unique men’s health awareness campaign at the hospital ahead of International Men’s Day on November 19. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal inaugurated the campaign and men’s aesthetic clinic attached to a quaternary care medical facility, the hospital said in a statement.

Speaking on the urgent need to raise awareness about men’s health, Mangla Dembi, Senior Vice President and Chief of Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital, said, “International Men’s Day is all about celebrating unsung heroes who make personal sacrifices to ensure that their loved ones live peaceful, fulfilling, rewarding and exciting lives.

However, according to Harvard Medical School’s Harvard Health Publishing, not only do men die at a younger age than women, but they are also more prone to disease during their lifetime. The campaign aims to raise awareness about men’s health and encourage them to get routine health checkups and keep up to date with their condition, she added.

Dr. Kalpana Sarangi, Senior Cosmetology and Dermatology Consultant at Nanavati Max Hospital, who runs the Men’s Aesthetic Clinic, said that due to the large amount of misleading information, awareness of general skin care and hair is extremely low in men.

“Modern lifestyle has caused the early onset of aging symptoms in both skin and hair. Baldness is commonly seen in the 20s and due to social media exposure, even the working men are conscious of their appearance. With Aesthetic Clinic for Men, we aim to provide access to cutting-edge treatment protocols with the latest technology to facilitate a holistic skin and hair care regimen for men,” said said Dr. Sarangi.
