AN INDEPENDENT medical clinic has opened at Winnersh Triangle Business Park.
The Berkshire Clinic, located in a 2,400 square foot space, provides access to cardiology consultants and diagnostic tests in one location.
The state-of-the-art clinic was founded by four local consultant cardiologists who established NHS and private practices.
Dr Nicos Spyrou performed the first coronary angioplasty in Reading at Battle Hospital in 2003 and Prof Neil Ruparelia was appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Reading and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2020.
Dr James Stirrup is a Consultant Cardiologist with a particular interest in Cardiovascular Imaging at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Dr Andrew Elkington became the Clinical Lead of Cardiology at the same hospital in June 2020.
Dr Nicos Spyrou said: “We spent a lot of time trying to find the right location to open the Berkshire Clinic, when we found Winnersh Triangle it was the perfect fit.
“With its ideal location close to the M4, midway between Reading and Bracknell, not to mention Winnersh Triangle station 1 minute walk away and plenty of free parking, we are already getting great reviews about the ‘excellent location.”
The 87-acre site benefits from a £6.8 million investment in its facilities to provide a range of amenities to benefit the park and its occupants.
This includes a state-of-the-art gym, on-site cafes, a new co-working space, nursery and leisure space.
Eilidh McAllister, asset manager at Frasers Property UK, owner of Winnersh Triangle, is pleased that the Berkshire Clinic is making the most of the new arrangements.
She said: “We are delighted to welcome the Berkshire Clinic to the Winnersh Triangle and it is great to attract another organization from the science and health sector.
“Winnersh Triangle is an ideal location for companies from many sectors, but we are seeing a real increase in interest from companies with a scientific background.
“We look forward to seeing the Berkshire Clinic come to Winnersh Triangle and making the most of all the amenities we have to offer.”
